Hi all,
Jut wondering if anyone can tell me, are duty hours including travelling too and from work or not? The reason I ask is I start work on the agency next week and I have to travel an hour to get to the depot.
Cheers

Don’t think so. Do you get travelling expenses? Could be a tidy wee profit if you do lol

I am under an umbrella company called Oriel. I do get expenses but I don’t know how it works!! I think they said all your expenses are taken out your wages at the end of the week then you are just taxed on that. Something like that anyway…
I’m with a mob called esentual or something. They’re an umbrella company too and trying to work out what I’m being paid is easier said than done! I think they make it difficult to work out so they can swindle us out of money lol

By “duty hours” I assume you mean should the travelling time be booked as other work for the tachograph regulations ?
If that’s what you mean then the answer is no, travelling to and from your usual place of work does not count for the tachograph regulations.
If you have to travel an hour each way to and from the depot there’s a chance the agency may give you something towards the cost if they’re desperate enough to get someone working there, but don’t hold your breath.
Good luck
