Dublin Port

Got to deliver to Naas in the morning and seeing as my anniversary am taking the Wife to dublin for the day.

On the 0240 Sun morning and coming back on the 2055 Irish Ferries sailings will be back in Dublin after the delivery around 9am, does anyone know if Irish Ferries would let me book in for the 2055 and park the Van there then go into Dublin for the day.

i used to use the freighter p&o Liverpool to Dublin and if you got there earlier than the booking you could go into town. we used to get to dublin port 8 hours earlier than the booking.

naas is about 1 hour from the port.

How are ya getting on feller?

Bigvern if ur meaning the job I’m loving it good money for an easy job. Though we started with 3 drivers and am down to 2. After the boss sacked the first one for being a waste of space then sacking his replacement for being an even bigger waste of space. Its cus of him I’m off to Dublin. Though gaffer let me take the wife and he even paid.

Yeah mate, good. I only had second thoughts because he moved the goalposts. He asked me to do the 7.5t stuff, which would have made the job not as good as yours. With the regs and stuff, I’d be marooned half the time. It’s grand in a van, cos’ at least you can mooch about a bit. I wish you well mate. Glad you’re enjoying it. If it is still a van job…I’d jump right in. Did you get a better van? I’ll see ya on the ferry soon…I am getting much more Irish work from the crowd I’m with. I was given my own van this week. LWB Sprinter, less than 1 year old, just been painted black with Courierforce logo…NICE! :sunglasses:
