Well this CPC course is being organised via the same school I did training through and as wasn’t impressed in the slightest at that no idea how this will go next week if their substandard are a guide!
Lots of useful links and info though so thanks for the contributions. I’ll see what next week brings. Might just insist on my certificate each day and see what they say!!

They should just give you a certificate at the end of each day. As I said previously, this isn’t their choice. They are obliged to do it. And if there’s any problem let JAUPT know. They are trying to raise the standards but cant if folks don’t tell them when stuff is wrong.
Hopefully it will be a well run, enjoyable and educational course.
On the last day of our CPC we had an inspector from Wolverhampton sitting there when we arrived, left us all wondering if someone wasnt happy, or is this the norm ? i have no real issue with them, although there were many points one could raise, i got my hours done either way, which is what it all seems to be about.
i dont feel as a new (potential) LGV driver that i really learned anything from this course , and at times was looked at by the group as the one in the know, when questions were raised, as i have read so much over the months, and seemed to answer many questions the provider could not.
We were shown a certificate and told we will recieve 5 of these for the 10 modules we have done , but as i say nothing for two weeks, maybe this weeks post will fix that , not that im too bothered at the moment , i do go back in a couple of weeks time for the “C” DRIVING for 4 days test on the 5th day 4 over 4 slap box .

I’ll try and pass sensible comment on each point.
There is nothing odd about there being an inspector (auditor) sitting in on a course. This is to ensure the course is being run correctly and feedback is given to highlight any points that could be improved in content or delivery.
Such a pity you didn’t learn anything and that the course leader didn’t know the answers to questions.
The certificates should have been given to you at the end of each course. This is a requirement and is not something the trainer can opt in or out of.
With luck, they will have the CAT C training approved for cpc and this can then be credited to the next 5 years. And the same goes if you decide to go for CE. Could save a lot of sitting in classrooms.
