Driving Licences.

Any of you chaps in SK, MB, ON, NB, NS, did you have to hand in your UK DL to get your Provincial one ?
Some people on another site are saying you cannot hold 2 licences in Canada but I reckon you can in some Provinces and it’s a Provincial thing not a Canadian one.
I know AB & BC you can’t.
Thanks.

Still got mine , got a bollocking of a cop in Red Deer last year for carrying two , told me to surrender the UK version before coming back into AB , yes officer of course I will :unamused:
Perfectly legal in Gods’ Country to have both .

HaHa, yeah I thought it was ok in some Provinces, see you beat me to it on the other site.

mb hand it over …lol my mate last year went to hand only the card part but MPI told our local office paper part as well or no exchange.Bike part no problem as well.

PEI and Yukon you have to hand over UK licence.

Some of them over there are so far up their own backsides it’s a delight to tune them into reality when the chance arises

Is KB still giving it the big un over there?

I kept my uk ticket, no good to me now as I need a medical and no fun being back in Britain with a UK licence, a Canadian licence would be much more fun when you got a tug off plod. ‘Who do you think you are sir, Nigel Mansell?’ “No officer, Gilles Villeneuve” (only Canadian F1 driver I know)

We had to surrender our licences here in SK, fortunately i “misplaced” my licence before leaving the UK and had to order a replacement one which arrived just as i “found” the old one - at they they got one to keep

Thanks.
