Driving in 24 hour period?

ignore what the likes of vosa or the police tell you, just read the regs, then double check on here.
i’m serious. they’ve fined me in the past. it hasn’t got them any money, they should have paid me for the education.

i think the funniest get [zb]ed answer i gave was when a young wpc, and her sergeant wanted to give me a hard time. i got a fine of £200 for taking a rest of 7 hours, it was 11 hours and 1 minute, they didn’t know about ferry movement rules, then she decided to make an issue about me needing to take 24 hours off the following day. i was coming up to my 6th shift, but only my 5th 24 hour period (something like that). but i let her sound off for a while before the lecture began. two days later the fine was dropped.

as for the dcpc. it might be ok for some, but not me. if i sit in a class, all i will hear is blah blah blah blah. i’ll learn what i need when i need it in my own time.

Well my tacho seems to think that the 24hr period runs from 00:01-00-00.

It has to start somewhere, it probably wouldn’t suit you either if it started at 3.26 until 3.25

Have you got the confirmed dates for your DCPC yet?

only need 7 hours to get it

In that case, why doesnt the tachograph start logging your driving hours from the point of entry instead of thinking ‘‘oh bugger it, i will stick this 42 minutes on yesterdays driving time, just to confuse matters’’

Is it just another Stonebridge game or does this occur on all tacho units??

I don’t see any difference between stoneridge or siemens, although I have only read the latest instructions on the Exact
