I am from Scotland and i’ve had my licence 8 yrs .I want to go to Holland and get a job driving .What courses would I need .Think it would be possible with no experience for real ■■?
just a c+e licence, adr may be handy.
are you wanting to live and drive in Holland or work for a dutch company? could try Visbeen or Post Kogeko especially this time of year as they will be busy with the dutch veg season
Yes I would like to live and work in Holland .I’ve got a couple of grand saved up .It’s just the driving and experience .Thanks for the reply i’ll check them companies out .
Ive got a mate that works for Post Kogeko he lives in the UK but works out of a dutch site doing NL-UK-NL he does 4 on 4 off. I’ve asked him if they are hiring at the moment and they aren’t. They do want drivers with euro and fridge experience when they are recruiting. The problem you may have in the fridge sector of driving in Holland is that when Nedexco went down alot of dutch drivers were /are looking for work and they have the experience.

Actually Nedexco probably only had about half a dozen to a dozen dutch drivers…90% were UK drivers…and i would think most of the dutch guys hopped across to FTT/Farmtrans along with a few of the UK guys
Euresco in Uithorn hire Uk drivers, there are a few from Scotland too, they used to do Morocco for sea food transport, the boss is strict and does not tolerate fools easily,i took a some motors to his place to have Dutch plates put on,and the MOT test, they test the strengh of the fifth wheel, not done in the uk,head lights had to be Dutch spec too.

Yes they do check the pin circumference, but isn’t that one of the most important things on an articulated lorry? that and the nut holding the steering wheel!
I drive Speciaal Car, my boss, he say!
Trying to think what the Dutch call their MOT,memory fading with old age.
It was not cheap to stay there all week, chicken with satay sauce was 15 euro,i was all day waiting around in the Volvo garage, moving units back and forth.

Algemene Periodieke Keuring in full, held at testing stations similar to ours but much more friendly
Agree, they let you walk around in side the test building, you can crack some jokes with them too,and have a laugh, you have to operate the cab controls for them, lights and switches and so on.
