Hello I’m from the north east well Newcastle, I was wondering where the best
Place was to find jobs where I can drive abroad? I’m only class 2 but I’m fully
Adr with tanks aswell. Been driving years and fancy a change to go driving abroad.
Thanks any help will be appreciated
With a class 2 your best bet would be to try the international removal companies. You will get around quite a bit, see and experience some cities, towns and villages around Europe that you would never see or experience whilst on warehouse to warehouse, factory to factory, general haulage. Just be prepared to graft!

Pretty much what I would have said as the best bet.
The only other people would be a specialist company that uses rigids, I think some event and exhibitions companies have some for smaller jobs and some of the covered car carriers operate them for transporting 1 or 2 cars.

You’re correct Muckles that some specialist car transporters have rigids, but I’m sure some if not all of those drivers have class 1 licences. The rigid are used when necessary for the job and any available driver slotted in. The company I know seem has more trucks than drivers and get in known extra drivers if necessary.
There is another general haulage company workng Eu from their south coast using rigid, and their drivers have class 1s. More of the removals companies seem to have trailers on now, but some do operate only rigids.
So removals best bet I’d agree.
