Couple of questions.
What is the max number of passengers i can carry ?
Would i have to run on tacho ?
In the early stages of planning a family trip to Holland next spring,so it will not be “fare paying passengers” as such.
For the record, i have held a class 1(in old money)since 1982.
Thanks in advance.
Isn’t the max number 8 on a non class D1 licence inc the driver? And no…You don’t need a tacho.
The UK has its own domestic laws on driving a private D1 vehicle and so do other countries
No tacho as its not commercial
From what I have gathered recently the 101 code with a pre 1997 D1 means nothing in the rest of the EU as they only recognise codes up to 99 - Maybe another can confirm this?

Reason i ask is that on my previous plasticky license,i think it had <15 in the minibus bit .
Went over in the early 90s and the rental co minibus had a tacho fitted.

That would have been the restriction on the number of passenger seats

So i can drive up to a 16 seater then?

If the 101 code is not recognised outside the UK then you will have a full D1 minibus licence overseas
