Can anyone tell me if this scenario was illegal at one point, I know its legal now because the drive resets after the 30 min break but I was sure it was illegal at one point in time because you could only drive a total of 4.5 hrs after your first 15 min break and here you are driving 6 hrs with a 30 Min break
Drive 1.5 Hrs ------- break 15 Mins -------drive 1.5 Hrs ----- break 30 Mins ---- drive 4.5 hrs

Not certain but I think at one point it was illegal to do ANY 4.5 hours driving during the shift without a certain amount of break

Its an argument i’m having at work, when I said the law must have changed all I got was
the drive has always reset after a total of 45 min even when split 15-30.
I just wonder if anyone might have a copy of the old WTD on breaks i’m dying to find out who was right

Nowt to do with WTD - its the old EU regs you need
I am fairly sure that it did not used to reset the 4.5 hours of driving time but the rule was that any period of 4.5 hours driving must contain a total break time of 45 mins which could be split into 15 min segments
Memory not good on that so perhaps others can assist …
