Driver training South Devon (no agents)

Does anyone have any idea who does driver training in South Devon, I have tried Google and I just keep getting these bloody driver agents sites.

Is this forum now dead?

Have you seen the recommended trainers thread, I’ve no idea how up-to date it is though.

It’s a bit different but most people have soon got used to it ROG, like anything that’s new it’s just a case of persevering while you find your way around :slight_smile:

Actually once you get used to it there are some quite nice features :wink:

Your best bet is Exeter. There is SRTS who operate out of Westpoint on the Sidmouth Road. I did my class 1 with them. I would recommend them. There is also TransPlant Master Train. I did my class 2 with them. They are based at the Livestock centre in Marsh Barton. The test centre is also in Marsh Barton. I hope this helps.

I can recommend SRTS now thanks to Driveress! It was a two hour reverse course, the instructor was well skilled also a very chilled guy and he sorted me out enough to get myself an assessment pass with AWJenkinson Transport,of which I passed, I start there next month,are any of you drivers on with them?

Really pleased to hear that, and happy to have helped, well done! When I get a Class 1 gig I might well book in for a reversing refresher myself! Did you go out on the road or was it all in the yard? And was your instructor the co owner? can’t remember his name but he’s a top man.

It was in the huge estate they are on,we never needed to go out as there is plenty of roads to reverse into etc.I don’t know if he owned it, Roy was his name.
