I was looking on the BBC website to see if I could find the segment with Steph from this morning. What I did find was this.

news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/1536329.stm

Not fake news, just recycled.

:grimacing:

Fake in the sense that it isn’t factually correct, i bet those jobs where temp or agency jobs

Most likely it will be the agencies target figures of bods on books not being met, and not the actual shortfall within the industry

I’ve never met a driver yet that earns £20ph or anywhere close, these people need to stop talking out of their puckered rings and start reporting reality.

I would think most agency drivers working weekends would be on more than £20 per hour, I can remember getting £32 per hour for an Easter Sunday about 7 years ago when they where desperate.

I can assure we are not.

Nail on the head. Numbers on books are falling so the scope for exploitation and wage theft from the recruitment agencies is falling.

This is the real news story here.

You would think wrong then.

Agency for Gist =£25 ph on Sundays, but only for the xmas rush. After 16th Jan it’s back to standard rate of c.£12 for a Sunday (and I’ve never had a Sunday, other than xmas y ime)
