But firstly there is an area on the forums for advertising vacancies. More importantly is the need for accuracy and attention to detail when owning and indeed running a transport operation/company. To start advertising vacancies within your company in primary school English is a very poor advertisement of the company don’t you think?

When I took my cpc exam I was told, this is not an English exam & you will not fail for bad spelling/grammar ! So obviously the people at OCR don’t think spelling is that important in the world of transport. But you obviously know better.
Fair point about wrong forum for job ads, so why not point that out rather than belittling the guy ? Because you are a pedant ! Stop trying to make yourself look clever at other peoples expense, and just maybe you will get over your small man syndrome !!

Ok seeing as you seem to have a bee in your bonnet, and like to resort to name calling I shall correct you on a few points.
Firstly I am not belittling anyone, nor am I a pedant. I have clearly justified the requirement for clarity in grammar and spelling in the above post. It does not make me a pedant in any form at all. But as you seem to champion the advertisement of a company in poor English then it would therefore only be correct to assume that you are prepared to work for a such a companie (sic). I only hope they input the details on their bank transfer payments correctly when they pay you. Or on the insurance details when they insure you, this can go on and on and on.
Secondly in relation to the OCR exam you took for your CPC. You are indeed correct they do not mark you down for bad spelling or grammar. This is because as you have stated it is not an English exam. It is an exam to test your knowledge of the subject/s within their curriculum and spelling is not one of them. That does not make them an advocate for poor spelling and grammar in the “world of transport” It also does not make them a leading body in the “world of transport” either, they simply administer the exam on behalf of the Department for Transport, in relation to the current EU Directive. In relation to the Department for Transport and their agency VOSA would I am sure find the miss spelling of applications, registrations, names, blah blah blah unprofessional.
Now back to the original post. A simple spell checker makes a world of difference when you are advertising your company to the public, more so when doing such on an internet forum where a spell checker is merely a few clicks away, It stops you from looking incompetent unprofessional. Lastly I don’t suffer from small man syndrome, I am 6ft 4" and 19 stone. I suffer if anything from big man syndrome.

However I still feel there was no need to comment on his spelling. You could just ignore it, as you are not likely to apply for the job it doesn’t concern you.
My current boss has atrocious spelling but manages to run a successful company of 30+ trucks. Most of the administrative work is carried out by his office staff ( correctly ) ! So you do not need to be Wordsworth to run a transport company.

I don’t know if you are referring to a Miss Spelling, but if you mean spelling a word wrongly, then the word you are looking for is “misspelling”

They were, but those posts weren’t just spelling pedants.
These last few have at least been more politely phrased.
One very successful family company I’ve worked for was started by a guy who, reportedly, couldn’t read or write at all. His son built it up even further, then sold it for a very tidy sum.
