Can you please explain to me what specific part is “fun” about making very derogatory comments about someone’s physical appearance who you don’t know, have never met and has never done anything to hurt you? Imho the comments posted were nothing other than downright nasty and said more about the poster than the person they were directed at.
I apologize. Don’t wanna get on the wrong side of you. And how do you know I’ve never met her?

I found her abrasive and creepy, surely having someone you are comfortable with as a business partner would be an advantage?
You need to get your arse up north Graham - she’s (or her voice at least) just the sort of person you would find pulling pints in your local social club, or the sort of person you’d find working in a chippy - “what can I get you, luv?”.

Am I correct in thinking it was her and Pall-Ex that kicked off the pallet distribution networks as we know them now? I.e lots of smaller independent companies working together.I was under the impression that Pall-Ex was not the first despite their claims - I can’t remember the dates now, but seem to remember that others were around before them e.g Palletline
Wasn’t it Palletways what started the pallet network. ‘were get your pallets there for next to nothing & screw the UK Road Hauliers’
Just saying…

Apparently Palletline started in 1992, Palletways started in 1994 and Pall-Ex came along in 1996.
As far as pallet distribution companies screwing the UK road hauliers is concerned it’s just progress I’m afraid, if a company or as in this case a network of companies can do the job efficiently and cheaper they will succeed.
Whilst many small hauliers must have been hit hard by the system it’s also true that many small hauliers have grown and made money by becoming part of the pallet distribution networks.
By the way Photoman1, Welcome to Trucknet-UK

I think the original pallet network was formed in 1978 in Lancashire. A little known company called Inter County Express
The rest, as they say, is history.

I know a Finance Director for a sixty truck Transport Company. He has often told me that the Pallet Network side of the business was far and away more profitable than any other part of his (sucessful) company.
If Hillary Devey has contributed to that, good luck to her.
