I may be opening a hornets nest here : We took over the FSA business last year and have plans to develop the business and site to include parking and modern driver facilities. Need a bit of market research… Have you used the FSA before, have you parked in Dover? How did you find the facilities and, more importantly, how were you dealt with my the counter staff - were they polite and helpful?
Thanks for helping. We want this site to be 1st class and will upgrade every facility if necessary to achieve our goal
Probably be better off posting this in polish or Bulgarian or some such. Don’t think there’s many uk drivers who go to Dover anymore. Mind you that’s not such a bad thing as the place was always a dump !!!
Any time i’ve had to clear there , probably only a dozen or so in the last 5 years the staff have been pretty unfriendly, waiting in a manky portakabin for your number to come up isn’t too handy either.
Last time they put the wrong number on the screen when mine was ready, enquired after an hour and was told to go back and wait for my number to come up. 2 hours later and still no sign, go back in and it had been ready for over 3 hours. If i had waited for my number i’d still be there yet.
Very basic, appalling facilities for drivers, depending who was on, I’ve met some pleasant counter staff and some complete twonks !
No where decent to get a wash, let alone a shower !
Used to walk over to the BP if I needed anything ! And the Cinque point arms is not what it used to be either !
Ive cleared there half dozen times or got papers done thrre for export since sept
Always been in evening and staff were freindly enough to me
Told come back in 20 30 mins or hour etc
Came back in when said everytime papers ready and off
Never waited in portacabin walked back to truck and walked back after
