Double manned / husband and wife teams

If you both like plenty of abuse and you’ve got some machinery experience with low loaders, you could try Richard Long transport… (Wymondham, Norfolk)

He’s always looking for drivers - with good reason. The up side is that he does a lot of European work, so if you get a start he won’t want to see you for three weeks at a time…

That might be a bad idea actually. Given that either of you wont be pressing to get back home to see the other, it’d be the ideal job as he likes drivers who dont want to be home.

so its a bad idea but its ideal

Have you tried Geodis Calberson in high wycombe they do a lot of Germany d/m runs plus poland and italy

Hope this helps

Your only problem is the digi tacho defaults to “POA” not “If I was driving I wouldn’t do that, you’re doing 51 the limit is fifty, which way up does the map go?” mode…

Someone obviously didn’t read the OP’s original question properly?
Must be the time difference
Robin hood they ARE looking for double manning together so time away isn’t a problem…

It was a typing error. I meant to say “That might NOT be a bad idea auctually…” Typing too quickly as usual

Sorry. Meant to say “That might not be a bad idea”.

Stobart haven’t had double man teams for a few years now. Willy and Linda were the last. There still here just in separate trucks doing the UK. From memory I think they’ve worked at g&s. Grampian international. Mckellar. I know Carr bros still have a husband and wife team cos I was on the train with them yesterday.
Good luck in your search.

^^ this^^ has made me laugh. Both of us are nightmares for that.

Sports Direct.com at Brook Park, Shirebrook, Nottinghamshire near Mansfield had a husband and wife team…all their runs are double-manned. Last I heard they made 44k per year each for a demanding weekly UK routine …

I’m amazed at the sports direct comment.

You could try Ray White International, sure he wouldn’t mind keeping a motor lit, think they’re busy at the mo. It’s only going to be firms that do European work that would find double manning useful I would say.
