fair point BUT…SHOULD you be in the seat rather than in the bunk whilst mobile■■? or is it illegal to be in the bunk when the vehicle is in motion?
Gawd. It’s hard work at times.
**Seatbelts only have to be worn when occupying a 'forward facing' seat.**
You can Velcro yourself to the bloody roof-lining and Nobody, repeat Nobody, cares, except an Insurer assessing any claim for injuries received whilst so travelling.
So what exactly are you trying to say Krankee? Not sure I understand

I think he is saying it is OK as long as Velcro is involved.
this is not a regular occurence and i wasnt happy about it. my mate had banbury, northampton, milton keynes and buckingham and refused to go until he got a second driver. he asked for me which i wasnt happy about considering my original run was 2 drops in reading and pick up in andover. he seemed to think he would run out of driving time if he was on his own. i would have taken the run if my name was down for it but he wouldnt budge. we made it back in under 8 hours
i got my own back though. he doesnt like the gearbox in my wagon. too many switches on it (his DAF 75 only has a range change) and he didnt half make a mess of it
i can manage the range, splitter and comfort shift easy enough. i actually like it

The above posts are right btw…time spent not at the wheel can count as “rest” but not “break” for tacho purposes whilst the vehicle is moving.
Er shouldn’t that be the other way round.
You can use it as a break but not as rest.
I’m surprised neil didn’t spot your “deliberate” mistake especially a he also quoted it
I got stopped by the wheel tappers yesterday & I asked 4 vosa men who were standing around so here is
THE OFFICIAL V.O.S.A VIEW
1 said you can no problem
1 said you cant
&
1 said all breaks must be taken away from the vehicle
I said to the last one that defeats the object of double manning if when one drivers needs a Break you have to drop him/her off then go back and pick 'em up again later!

And dont forget that since the government legalised civil marriages and gay marriages, you only need a single bunk fitted to double man the truck
That can’t be right, surely after a 22 hour shift you’ll want to sleep .
