As aswad would say.
If this is where I think it is, the bridge ahead is 16’ was he nighting out in the makeshift layby then wanted to get back to the Swindon site without clocking up miles to the next roundabout?
It does sadden me to see the amazon hauliers sleeping around their sites in some quite makeshift locations. The rare times I am going to Tilbury one on the roundabout seems normal.
could be anything but it doesn’t take much imagination to guess. Prat nav says turn around where possible so the driver not knowing the area doesn’t check the map assumes there isn’t a roundabout ahead as the prat nav isn’t routing him that way so takes a chance that obviously wont work.
Not a correct use of the term jacknife though, I would have thought.
Looks like a simple U-turn that went wrong when he lost drive on a soft verge. Can’t see enough to be sure though.
I think the word for it is clickbait.
Pulling a "u"ey across a main road in the dark, over a grass central reserve, going on a soft verge, after a very wet February…■■■■■■■ or worse.
I agree there isn`t enough parking places around
But that is another story again.
Can’t read your word @franglais, perhaps I am too innocent.
But I was referring to the journo who wrote the headline, Another attempt to besmirch lorries and their drivers.
I do agree though that it was a stupid move.
