Hope the Yorkshire wildlife trust charged him for parking!

Probably was that fatasfox character off youtube1!! :grimacing: :grimacing:

Funny looking 17ton truck lol

To be fair… not like me I admit, he’d realised what had happened and was trying to turn round. Could have tried a better place though.

“PCSO tweeted…”

And there in that brief sentence provides a modern sliced cake example of how the country is royally in the [zb] pipe. Blunket bobbies and fartknockers living lives through their phones

Company has put him in that situation ( been there myself ) by refusing to pay the toll , bloody long way round , obviously looking for a alternative route that unluckily enough didn’t work out .

Most of you who use this forum regularly will know that I detest sat navs, however this morning trying to find my way into a very hard to find place in Chicago I was within 5 miles and knew it was surrounded by weight limits and narrow streets, I tapped on Google maps on the phone and found it then switched to the navigate mode … Yes ! It got me completely screwed up and I had to drive for 20 minutes to find a place where I could actually turn around stick the sat navs LOL

The fact there isn’t a bridge between the m62 at Goole and the Humber Bridge is clue as to your options.

Where the hell did he start from to get onto the goat track that leads you down to Spurn point ■■?

I think you will find he put himself in that situation, if you are incapable of looking at a map and seeing the correct way is back to M18 then the M180 (that’s if it was to avoid the toll) then you deserve all the stick you get…

Sounds like the problem is the squishy bit following said instructions.

The most cursory of glances at a map would show there is only one bridge across the water.
His sat nav must have been telling him to turn around for the best part of 30 miles, so unless he’s programmed it wrong, the headline should be “lorry driver gets stuck because he DIDN’T follow sat nav”.

Surely there must be times when all of us have moments where we squarer up the satnav and say you must be [zb] joking I’m not taking my truck down there…

It happens because a lot of drivers use car sat navs

looks like the media got it wrong yet again, does the vehicle look like a 17 tonner, don’t think so,unless they are just using a picture they found of another vehicle stuck

Bloody press… don’t they know it’s a 10 ton juggernaut?
