It takes me ½ hour to drive to work and after a 14 hour day the same back, does this count as " other work"?
In a word, no.
As said, travelling to and from work is part of your rest period.
Does your car have a tacho?
The only way it would count as other work is if for some reason your usual place of work changed I.E. you usually go to x depo but instead you have to drive 1hour away to another depo which is much longer then what your used to… Quick some one back me up 
Yes I’ll back you up, you only have to include traveling time if it’s to somewhere other than your usual place of work.
Some strange laws out there. Fella told me yesterday that if you take a weeks leave, it’s still counted as 48 hour towards you overall wtd period.

Yes a week (I.E. 5 days) of holiday counts as 48 hours. Yet 4 days only counts as 32 hours. Get your head around that one mate! Lol
