This seems to be getting more and more common, people picking a passing truck and trying to accuse them of damage.I had one the other week at the shell garage J9 M40 to A34. He told me I had knocked his mirror off and then by the time I went to take a photo it had miraculously leapt off the floor and re-attached itself to the car.
Work reckon if it was me the car would be in bits so insurance told him to foxtrot oscar

It might have a lot to do with how many cars are financed these days. If they’re surrendering the vehicle at the end of PCP or a lease then they might be looking at a big bill for any scabs & dents. Blaming the binmen or even getting the car recovered from a faked breakdown seem to be favourite ways of getting someone else to foot the bill.
