Do you know this truck?

beige scania reg no R935 RRT with HOLLOY on the side and on the skellie! i think these are the correct details, it was obscured with dirt and rust. if anyone knows anything about this truck, please let me know

Why what’s the driver of it done?

Company is Molloy, not Holloy.

Entering the number R935 RRT into the RAC Vehicle Data Check site gives no results, maybe the Scania is not registered …

This is the site, it’s worth looking at. You just have to register (free) to use it,

rac.co.uk/myrac/vehicle_data_check/

I dont think that site will hold details of Commercials.

Otherwise it would be easy to find all the trucks owned by John Player or Brinks.

It does Malc. Try your truck rego in it. Mine’s listed as are the rego’s of my previous motors.

he was sat in the cab while his container was emptied in a layby on the A22 yesterday by 5 men. i dont know if it was suspicious or not. truckpol didnt answer their phone and croydon police werent interested :unamused:

if anyone is investigating, i have descriptions, pictures and some video footage

Check it yourself, it works for those I’ve put in.

works for my old cars i wish it would say if they are still running.

also my trucks as well

Yep my old vans there, looks like it was sold out of the fleet in april.

Not really sure what that site is actually any use for though

Manufacturer Volkswagen
Model LT35 SDI MWB
Body type box van
Colour Grey
Fuel type Heavy oil
Date manufactured 31 December 1999
Number of previous owners 1
Last owner change 27 April 2005
T296 MNV

Doesnt really tell you a lot.

Anyway back to the post topic, does sound a bit weird though. We used to have boot leggers in the car park at work, police wearnt interested in them, basically becasue it’s C&E’s job, might have been the same thing here.

Sorry, got wrong end of stick. I thought you meant it gave details of registered owners and address.

That info, can come in handy if you are buying a car and the bloke tells you he has had the car from new, and its really had 17 careful owners :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s not infallible though - my cars are on, plus fleet motors, but the old Atki that I’ve owned for over 10 years (and which has a current tax disc, before you ask!) is not recognised

If it’s the Molloy I’m thinking of,they are Felixstowe based.

Nothing unusual about that, Scanny - when was the last time you saw a container driver help to offload?

this looks like a suspicious situation to me. maybe containers are often tipped in laybys quite ligitimately, i dont know but i did take a few discrete pictures just in case along with a bit of video footage.
there is nothing wrong with being vigilant and observant especially when it comes to truck crime. whether or not the driver is registered here makes no difference, he is still a trucker and we need to look out for each other.
i think the cab was beige. i couldnt see it due to the barn door being left hanging out in the layby

Well done scanny77 on being vigilant and observant  .
Did you mange to get any better pics of the people
unloading or any descriptions of them  .

I think you are to be congratulated Richie. Most people ignore such things and look the other way, if it is ligit there will be no harm done.

Made me think though. In a few days time I will be rendezvousing with a removal driver taking some some stuff from my Dad’s place in Spain to England. There are a couple of items, given by him, that I will be transhipping into my car and trailer in a routier somewhere. Think I will get Dad or the transporter to make out a little delivery note in my name. Just in case you are passing by  .

BTW did Denis get his Renault back? Bet he wished you were in the vicinity when it got nicked.

Salut, David.

unfortunately due to the fact i was parked there for 45 minutes with only my phone to take pictures, i decided to keep myself discreet so the pictures are no more clear than that 1. 5 against 1 didnt seem like good odds so keeping quiet seemed to be the best option. if the police are involved, it might give them some help but i dont know who to speak to about it. truckpol still havent returned my call but i did email an officer who i have had previous contact with from a certain association who i no longer support. with any luck, he will know how to find out if anything is amiss

just for the record, i NEVER look the other way if it involves looking out for you guys. we have to stick together

Good on you Scanny :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:
