A couple of weeks ago I was parked in one of the plazas on the PA Turnpike, it was the last one before Pittsburg, I was walking back to my truck when a car approached me with the windows down, here we go, I thought, the video camera/flat screen tv/gold watch merchants are at it, but no, there was a South American looking couple in the car, he was driving, she was sitting in the passenger seat wearing not a lot & looking very good, 
She was doing all the talking, he was just sitting there looking pretty stupid & a bit embarrassed, I thought I was going to be propositioned, but no, they wanted directions to Washington, I asked which one, to which she said, the one with the White House, oh I said, well you’re heading the wrong way, turn around at the next exit, go back a couple of hours until you see signs for I-70 & follow that until I-270 & you’ll end up in DC, ah she said, but the GPS is telling us to go straight on, it turned out that he had just put Washington into the route finder thingy, no I said, that’s the State of Washington & that’s a couple of thousand miles away 
It turned out that they were staying in Annapolis & had actually driven around DC to get to where they found me, they never bothered looking at the signs saying that they were actually in Washington DC 25mins after leaving their hotel, but continued on for three hours until she told him to stop 
I walked back to my truck & showed them how to get back to DC on the map & she asked to borrow the map, I said no, how was she going to give it back, she replied that she only wanted it for a few seconds, just long enough to beat her old man around the head a few times I bet he was on the sofa that night

I went to the Kennedy Space Center a few months ago, it was a really interesting place, I really enjoyed it & shook hands with a real Astronaut, he was a fat old bloke about 5’ tall, put a Malboro behind his ear & a can of Coors in his hand & he would look just like a Nascar driver
I’m a little skeptical about that whole Moon landing thing, there was some crazy ■■■going on in that era, what with the cold war & all that stuff, the thing that raises questions with me is the fact that nobody has been wandering around up there since then, it’s a bit like only ever having one pint, or having ■■■just the once
