Directions needed - Tesco Magor

Anyone have directions for Tesco Magor (Gwent Euro Park)? I’ve got a shift there tomorrow morning :grimacing:

Time to find out if I can still remember how to reverse an artic… :unamused:

From Brisol go on to the M 4, cross over the new bridge 4.80 toll. Take the 1st exit signed for the services at the top of slip road turn left , carry straight on go over the 1st roundabout, at the 2nd roundabout take a right Tesco is the 1st turning on the right.

TVM

I knew Trucknet wouldn’t disappoint

First time I went there to tip I was told “Just get near the services and then follow all the Tesco trucks!”

It worked!!

if they send you back into the civilised world for a drop and you have to return to walesland make sure you got the dosh yourself for the bridge cos you can betcha they’ll want to pay back via wages not cash in hand for tolls**

IME most companies around here who are likely to send vehicles over the bridge have fleet tags, so you just make sure they give you a tag. It’s probably because drivers are much more likely to kick up a stink if they’re asked to pay a toll and claim back - e.g. the Tamar Bridge last week was £2.50, but at £14.30 for the Severn bridge I think a lot of drivers would refuse.

I’ve only paid the toll once out of my own pocket, and as I’m an agency driver I just stick the receipt (yes the Severn Bridge gives receipts) to my timesheet, and if the client wants to argue over it, that’s the agency’s problem . They’ve already agreed to pay my car toll to go over there.

I thought that, but knowing my luck, I’d arrive at the time when there’d be no truck passing for hours, or I’d end up following one that took me back to my local Tesco store… :unamused:

and take a good book to read, or your telly. last time i was there about 18 months ago it took them five hours to tip 8 pallets of beans.

Yes, I’ve already got a bagful of magazines and a nice thick book - I’ve been saving them up for just this kind of situation…

However, I’m driving for Tesco themselves, so hopefully they might be a bit quicker.

And if they make me wait so long that I run out of hours, I can just leave the truck there and come home :sunglasses:
