I seem to recall that at the end of a shift, before withdrawing the drivers card it is possible to bring up a display which shows total driving time, breaks etc for the shift. Does anyone knowhow to do this. Sorry if it’s a daft question but I’m fairly new to this.
I don’t know the make of tachograph I’m using but I generally drive a 10 plate Scania or 11 to 63 plate Volvos. They seem to be the same in each but I haven’t been able to figure out how to get to the correct part of the menu.
Thanks in advance.
have a play here
Stonridge
se5000.com/documentation.html
or this
tachopak.co.uk/news/tachogra … simulator/
on a siemans just push the down arrow down ONCE.
Its worth having a play then keep stored in your fav folder .
to add for totals at the end of shift or if you have used POA you would be better doing a printout as poa and breaks will be added together

On a Siemens tachograph, from the standard display press “OK”, the screen will now say “Printout Driver 1”, use the arrows to scroll down to “Display Driver 1” then Press “OK”.
The display will now show all activities for the shift, scroll down to the end where you will see the total summary, the total summary will show the totals so far for driving, break, other work and POA.
The only problem is that it can take a lot of scrolling to get to the total summary.
Many thanks for the replies, I’ll give it a go today.
Cheers.
You can try it on the Digital Tachograph Simulator if you’re unsure.
If the driver card is inserted at the start of a shift at say 06-00 and taken out at the end of shift say 17-00 with no other work done before or after do you still need a manual entry?

On a type 1 digital tachograph no, on a type 2 digital tachograph I think it’s best to manually record the daily rest period.
I think its type 1 siemens vdo?
