Hi folks,
Just wondered if anyone can offer me some help regarding my digi tacho which Im new to. Ok so I drop off a load on sat morning and come back to the yard, put the tacho on to bed and eject my card at 1.00pm on saturday afternoon and head off home. Later that afternoon my father jumps into the lorry and (without the card) moves it onto the ramps for a wash and then parks her up and puts the tacho on to bed again. When I re-insert my card again at 6.00am on Monday morning will it come up on my card that I’ve been on the hammers for the time my father was washing the lorry, or will it be classed as rest from 1.00pm??

what happens after you take your card out of the truck and been moved by some one, as no barring on your card as long as it not you working
also as you no if you take your card out at 1pm and start at 6 am monday that a reduced weeekly rest and you will have to compensate for it

A bit late now but for some reason I’ve only just noticed this thread.
If it’s an old type digital tachograph the time that the card is out of the tachograph will be assumed to be a rest period, if it’s the new type of digital tachograph you will be prompted to put the time that the card was out as rest.
Either way if you do a manual entry you won’t have any problems.
