As you all know Dave is a fantastic contributor to this site. Dave has been informed his son has been diagnosed with a blood clot on the brain. I know he will be annoyed with me for informing Trucknet members but, like me some of the members have had similar problems and it is nice to have people to talk to as this time.

I hope things go well and also know the trucknet members who Dave has helped in one way or another will be behind him at this time. I wish your son well and a speedy recovery

Hi Willie, I’m not annoyed at all mate, actually I’m wondering how you could think I would be… :smiley:

I was going to post about my son (Vincent) but I’m waiting until I’ve had chance to speak to him properly.
Up to now, I’ve only had a few unconnected snippets of news, because I’ve been away teaching for the last couple of weeks including some of the weekends.
At times, Vincent has been either medicated, or simply too ill to talk.
I’ve left a voicemail on his mobile, so I’ll hope to get an answer tomorrow (Monday.)
As soon as I know the true position, I’ll post the news and the historical lead-up to it.
From the odd bits of news I’ve heard so far, there is cause for cautious optimism, but I do hope that folks will understand that I’d like to be as sure of my facts as possible before posting anything.

I’d like to thank those who have posted messages of support so far, because it’s good to know that people care.
