Get a claim in you’ve nothing to lose, More than 90k UK drivers got paid out £193million from the VW Skoda, Sear, Audi dieselgate debacle.
It’s becoming open season on fossil fuel producers if the professors at Oxford university get their way wanting to implement (EPR) Extended Producer Responsibility to pay for the clean up of emissions, How much would that put on a gallon of petrol/diesel/LPG/ airqualitynews.com/2023/01/16/o … ntability/

Thanks lancupn , I’m going to give it a try , nothing to loose
Worth looking here on the Martin Lewis site, for an unbiased opinion on whether it’s worth it or not. Especially as it’s not true you have nothing to lose. You could, if the claim is not successful be left with some legal costs. It’s all in the T&Cs of the lawyer you sign up with.

I guess it could also get very nasty with a dishonest answer to the question of the motivation for purchase of diesel not petrol in court.By definition that would put the purchaser on the spot regarding emissions v fuel consumption in their buying choice.I’d doubt that emmissions were even a factor or questioned in that buying choice in 95% of cases, given an honest answer.
Bearing in mind that most of the big manufacturers had/have viable petrol options throughout the range.
