Diecast Truck Models

jessicas dad:
ust out of interest do the companies that you base you lorries on sometimes commission you do some for them.

If you are asking me then the answer is no, i aint that good lol!
most of mine are Limited Edition models commissioned by UK based companies like Speedbird Promotions (Tekno UK Commissioner & Importer) PCM (WSI UK Commissioner & Importer) Search Impex (WSI UK Commissioner) I also have some very nice Modern Corgi models some of which i will put on here later.

Hi everyone,

Not been registered to this for that long so have to keep remembering to pop by!
A few names I also recognise here - comes with being around the model trade for several years now.

I am the guy behind Tekno in the UK and making a lot of the models that are coming out on the amrket, largely sold to the transport companies in the first instance, and then to collectors. Most of what we do is also sold out before it comes out or straight after release so pretty handy.

If any of you are interested, you can follow us on Facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kerbey-Motors/200191696681593#!/pages/Speedbird-Promotions/142965961018

or on our website at http://www.teknomodeltrucks.co.uk

Also - a good friend of mine from Kerbey Motors would like me to tell you about an exclusive gift set of models he’s bringing out. For further details, visit his site at http://www.kerbeymotors.com

Thought i would upload some pics of my collection and keep the thread going. I started collecting only Derbyshire tankers and tippers but got bitten by the bug and now have a fiar collection. Just started collecting the Stobarts latest livery (even though i said i wouldnt). They are quite expensive on ebay though.
Will add some more at a later date.
Enjoy.

Harry Monk:
Very nice models… I have this rather cruder beast, who’s going to be first to identify it?

a maz?

Thought i would add a few more pics of my own.
Some stunning models on display here. ( i hope most of them are on display and not just hidden away in their boxes). :frowning:

I normally scratchbuild in 1/24th scale but occasionally have ago in 1/50th & 1/87th.Having bought a Boddingtons unit & trailer on E-Bay I decided to do a Code 3 job on the unit and turn it into a Skip Loader.

Eddie

Some really nice models! Can someone explain the “code 3” thing to me please?

Hi.
Code 3 is if you buy a die-cast model then make an alteration to it that makes it Code 3. Eddie.

If you do decide to invest in a few diecast models, then there is a unwritten law amongst collectors… never tell T-D-W the real price of the model, always say it was cheaper than it really costs, that way you will earn more brownie points for not spending the household budget, but remember she is just as cunning… she will never tell you the real price of her latest pair of matching high heels and handbag she just had to have

Just found this thread, am thinking about getting a model made of the truck I am driving, would guess it would be just a one off, any suggestions of who I can get in touch with?

Thanks in advance.

Drop me a PM or visit my website and send me an email. bennifiedmodeltrucks.webs.com

I stumbled across this thread the other day and have enjoyed looking at all the pictures of various models, so thought i would put some pics of my collection on.

I have been collecting for around a month and have 14 so far with 1 more arriving any day now, 7 are Corgi and 7 are Cararama ( a cheaper model and a bit less quality than Corgi but still pretty good detail ).

I wish to paint the chassis and belly box of a white fridge trailer to match the WSI Scania below, could anybody tell me the correct paint code or name so I can buy the right rattle can.
Thanks in advance.

Serious question,.
Are the Corgi classic (repros) worth much?
Started collecting them about 15 years ago.
They have been boxed up in the attic for a while , since my eldests football trophies took over the display cabinet

Suedehead, go to ebay, it gives you a guide of the prices to expect or toy fairs, there is normally a diary of event at the back of Diecast Collector magazine.
