Diecast Truck Models

Adam_Mc:
Whilst I don’t have an impressive collection like many people do on here, I’d like to have a model made for me. But I’m very picky on the details so can anyone point me in the right direction of getting a custom model made?

Trucknet user Benni is a code 3er, try PMing him or check out his website.

He made a Corgi based Deben model for me, pics are on his website.

what models would you like? I collect almost any theme… tankers, fridges, curtainsiders, lowoaders, heavy haulage, flatbeds and not all UK stuff, european liveries as well…
This is in a livery of a company called Guldager, they have several tractor units all with different themes, this being “Bonneville Bomber”, story is when it was being sprayed they wanted it to look really rustic and old looking, and this has been portrayed onto the model in a excellent manner by WSI. The tank trailer is a code3 model made for the unit, i think it is an excellent match

That is a stunning model mate. Where abouts do you buy them from? Did you make the trailer yourself? If not where did you get it from? I’m still waiting for my Joe sharps scania to turn up in the post. Been nearly 3 weeks now sent a couple of emails and heard nothing back :frowning:. Bought it from premium collectables.

The Volvo Guldager tractor unit was available earlier this year from http://shop.little-treasure-models.com/product_info.php?products_id=36 they have since been sold out, the trailer was made for me by my pal.

As for the Joe Sharpe model, i spoke with PCM yesterday, they said it will be ready for distribution by this weekend, and the Ice Road Truckers model is now released and on its way to collectors that have preordered it…

Can anyone tell me if you can order direct from Wsi in Holland or do you have to through Pcm over here. Its not a cost issue just that looking at the Wsi website the range of trucks they have is huge.

most of the ones displayed on the WSI site have been either commissioned by WSI or someone like PCM and are all suitably available from these dealers, these are all in the UK:

If its something european you are looking for i have dealt with a few european dealers in the past, one problem is if there is anything wrong with the model then you have the hassle of returning it abroad, but Peter here does an excellent job and nothing is too much trouble, and he is quick posting, but expensive for it, heres the link:

Thanks for the info Ray thats handy to know. I didn’t realise that there were a few outlets over her I got the impression that Pcm were the sole distributors in the uk after talking to them at the Brentwood toy fair. Could become an expensive hobby !!

Rob they are the sole distributors of WSI consumables, but are not the only sellers…

anyway, back on topic, this is my latest model, made by Tekno a Scania Highline & fridge in W Smith (Stoke-on-Trent) livery, there will be a Scania 143 6x2 and fridge due later this year also from Tekno which i will have to buy to keep this one company

and this is another i got last weekend, the Scania 143 6x4 & Curtainsider in JH Yates livery, also from TeKno

Thanks Ray, I had my suspicions that it wasn’t available yet but no where on the website did it say pre order. Good news that. Thought it had been lost in the post.

This model is now released and available from Premium Collectable Models the truck actually had these graphics on it based on the Trucking programme Ice Road Truckers.

Wow more stunning models appearing . Keep em coming lads and keep this thread going please. :grimacing:

If you are asking me then the answer is no, i aint that good lol!
most of mine are Limited Edition models commissioned by UK based companies like Speedbird Promotions (Tekno UK Commissioner & Importer) PCM (WSI UK Commissioner & Importer) Search Impex (WSI UK Commissioner) I also have some very nice Modern Corgi models some of which i will put on here later.

I am back online now afetr having to move out of my house unfortunately my models are in storage so cant take any pics until I find a place to live.Keep em coming though lets keep this thread going.

GrayT:
I remember playing with these two as a kid. The Scammell was a rare Co-0p promotional model - it just came in the cardboard box, not in the typical Corgi box with cellophane or anything:

I remember these Scammell’s,I still have the unit from a Ferrymasters model.

Some cracking models, thanks for showing them. Have a squint at my Code 3 stuff from over the past number of years in various scales - 1/87 1/64 & 1/50. They’re in my old gallery at fotothing.com/ramjet ,
best to navigate by the ‘Archive’ tab which will bring up a page at a time, each picture can then be brought up individually. The pages work back from highest number (I think!).
