One quick question

About 5 months ago i worked for a company,but didnt return the tacho chart.Yesterday i received a letter from this company asking for the charts.what can i do? i cant find them? what they can do?

Nothing can be done if they are lost

If VOSA question them then they will state the problem and by the time they get around to you it will be over the 6 months that VOSA set for any sort of consequence

This must happen many times with many drivers and companies

Have a look for the chart, if you find it post it to them. If you can’t find it tell them you posted it 4 months ago :smiley:

If you genuinely can’t find the chart there’s not much you can do apart from phone them and apologise.

Given that they’ve waited five months to ask for the chart I don’t see what they can do now without creating problems for themselves.

Was it an agency job ?

Given that they’ve waited five months to ask for the chart I don’t see what they can do now without creating problems for themselves.

I’d just be honest and as it was a genuine mistake, apologise.

If it is to say that you forgot to give them the chart then they are asking you to sign it to cover their arses

As it is your responsibility to make sure charts are returned on time then its up to how you feel about it

You could cover your arse and say you posted it to then months ago :wink: :blush:

If they’re asking you to sign to say you haven’t handed it in, just phone or write and say you thought you’d posted it to them.

If it was me I wouldn’t sign anything.
