i will keep a look out for Shaun my dad seems to think Keith as got a new trailer too , have you got a picture of Andrew Parker’s FH ? used to work with andrew when i worked in Evans garage b4 i started driving he was driving a timber crane for them .I’m not 100% but it could be 2 new trailers, but they haven’t got them yet !

hi to you all ive just joined this site and i think their is some great material on here. The devon companies really intrest me as i was down that way alot in the 70s up to presentday. I was wondering if any one can remember an old company i think it was called woolways and thay ran bedford TKs and their colors where black with a orange or yellow band on the front of the cab with woolways written across the front. I used to see them alot around the bideford area and on the old A361 struggling up the hills . If any one can remberthem i would love to know where they where from and wot happend to them sorry its a bit vauge i was only about 7 or 8 rideing shotgun with my dad.

They were based in Barnstaple and were a construction / plant hire company. Think they were taken over by another local building company in the 80’s who were themselves taken over by another etc etc.

Removal boy hows it going ? i left Darens on the 21st of january , start back with ways on 31st jan due to my breathing and diet problems i had over the last 6 months . yep daren has got ur old store using it for storage and servicing of trailers. he bought a 54 plate scania 164 480 topline during xmas hes not to impressed with it ,matey boy stitched him a kipper bit of a nail. hes spent bit on it so far . as for the 105 xf not that i know of . my daf is parked up at the mo , he hasn’t got adriver yet for it .

We moved out of the store because we had an extension built on the one in our yard. So is it his own trailers he is servicing or other peoples?

My dad works for J.B radford so i can tell you that SMW are still running. I know that they are running load of 8 leggers still but they also got an artic and drowbar and drag.

no thats jibbles in the cab it was the f10 he drove my old man had old f88 n reg & a 86 then he had a F10 RUN 900S then he had UUN180 T and then a FL 10 then a Scania F 732LDV when i was on with Qplant i had F731 LDV six wheel tipper ex R&G

Were doing another farm owned by the same group at Sandford Peverall next week and theyve got another Radfords volvo and an old scania on site,will try to get some pics if it’s daylight when im loading
Well it only took me 6 months to get a load out of Sandford Peverall during daylight hours 
but here’s the other 2 parked there…
more radford survivors ! bet some of those have done some stupid hours with those blowers .

The Radfords G40 STT was driven by my Uncle , Tony who drove most of the miles on the truck after Ray Radford brought it from nearly new…
My uncle Tony is 69 years old this year and still driving for a local company some of you may know him.
My grandad Walter (Tonys Dad) drove for Pengellys Transport Cattle out at Kenisbere some of you older boys may even remember him .
