He s giving up a guarantee of $1200.00 minimum per week for that place, loosing all his vacation pay and benefits for a company who has rubbish pay and conditions and no vacation pay or holiday pay, but I have found out why
This guy is a mess, he does endless amounts of damage and has accumulated 35 CSA points, that is our company limit, go over and you are out, he recently asked me “How many points do I get for a speeding ticket ?”
“I don’t know that because I have never had one” I replied, I feel he may be in line for some more points and is leaving before he is pushed out. No great loss, I can always tell when he is telling a lie … His lips move.

If you’re unlucky or get an overzealous ■■■■ at a scale it wouldn’t be on the realms of possibility to receive 35 points in one or two sittings. Its purely because most DOT don’t give a crap and 99% of trucks are never inspected that many of the drivers who work for these “35 points and your out” firms are not indeed already unemployed. You get 4 points alone for not being an “English speaking driver”…a couple of DOT checks should in theory then rid the entire industry of the tens of thousands of Mexicans, Indians, Pakistani’s, Russians, Poles and various African nationalities that drive around North America, yet cannot communicate in English to a standard where they can actually be understood by anyone. Yet this doesn’t happen.
Seriously though, leaving Foodliner is one thing, why the hell would any one choose to go to the Orange Peril?

He’s about a hairs breath from getting the boot anyway, he has done so much damage I find it hard to believe he is still with us and after mentioning a possible speeding ticket I think it’s either go before he gets fired or … get fired
I talked with him this morning and asked why the hell anyone would go there ? He said he was going to be a lease own driver so he would be ok … Yeah right
“I told Foodliner if they want me to stay they had better come up with a damm good offer” he said.

I got my start with the Pumpkin Patch out of the Memphis depot in 87 when I did my US truck license . As part of my visa conditions I had to stay with them for 12 weeks, I did 12 weeks and 3 days.
If they’re still as they were back then, your mate’s going to fit in just dandy.

No, Schneider Transport is no more, it’s all Schneider National now. They do get some vacation but Pat’s right about no holidays, not even Christmas
