I f you look on the Welsh Border tipper operarators thread, on old time lorries forum , you will see all the pics of the Sharples lorries which I have posted. As lent to me by Miss Jean Sharples. They ceased running lorries last autumn, the last two lorries that she ran was a Foden alpha eight wheeler and a Hino eight wheeler, both tippers in tarmac colours. She now lets the garage to one of their old drivers son, he runs a truck repair business from there.

Thanks for that it’s nice to see some of the lorries after only having the regestration numbers. I saw the article about the firm in Trucking International, but not the one in Commercial Motor. I wrote to Miss Sharples after reading a letter she wrote to Vintage Commercial Vehicles mag.
