Off on a jolly to Zeeland next week for a few days.
Was thinking off stopping for tiffin at the Gent truckstop off the R4(used to use it regularly a few years back, presume its still there ?)
Anybody recommend anywhere else on the Gent /Terneuzen route for decent food.
Going in the car btw . . . with the missus
Thanks in advance.
If you are going to Terneuzen why go via Gent,go along the coast and over the border at Sluis. It always used to be a nice town with good food.As i lived in Terneuzen and loaded out of DOW we always used to eat at the border.

Have been that way,cut around Knokke Heist to Sluis.
Is"nt the other way quicker/shorter?.
Some interesting shops in Sluis btw
If your in a car you ain’t on a tacho Sluis is a lovely old town with lots of history.I would have thought ‘‘hurry up’’ time was past now

Heard from a friend in nl that there is a lot of road works between Sluis and Ternhuezen, any idea how bad the delays are ?
I have not been anywhere near Sluis or Terneuzen for over 25yrs so my road knowledge would be a bit outdated.I moved up to Spijkenisse in 1981 and only went to Sluis in 1988 when my wife’s family came over from Quebec.

Cheers .
The ‘Nieuw Phoenix’ chinees restaurant In Sas Van Gent(NL). I’ve not been there for ‘many-a-year’, but I used to go on a regular basis when I lived in Zelzate.
