Death of Eddie Stobart

man i didnt realise he was that old he seemed like a middle aged man a few years ago on the telly

It is Eddie who has died, Edward’s father. Eddie started the agricultural business and the haulage was there to deliver his own stuff. He thought there was no money in transport and handed responsibility for the eight wagons to his son Edward who built the business before selling up to his brother. Edward died a few years ago in his late fifties.

And the worst thing Edward did was to sell to William ,
And 5he rest is history

A genuine question, because I have been out of the UK loop for 25 years, why is that?

Where’s stobarts now ? Gone went nearly bust and now part of Cullina which William is a director
The mighty Stobarts empire of the early to mid 2000’s has all gone and the transport side has been swallowed up by cullina

Thank you, as I said, out of the loop. :grinning:

Eddie went out at 56 lol

Edward died at 56, Eddie has just died at 95.

That`s his Dad that has just died at 95 ? Eddie was 56 when he died some years ago and that was the answer to the question asked. young Eddie was the one that took over from his dad , William was a driver at the time, we all know what happened from then don’t we lol

The Stobart family name lives on in haulage transportation the customer reviews are a tad marmite.
