DCPC for mechanics

morning all ,

Its not my area of expertise , but just looking for a definitive on my understanding of exemptions.

Senerio is a garage workshop and testing station

Technicians occasionally collect and deliver LGV’s from customers premises to bring in for servicing / repairs and testing.
Technicians road test said vehicles.
Staff occasionally deliver / collect hire (rental) vehicles to customers premises.

If all the staff concerned do not drive as a main part of their job (and have the relevant licence to drive), and the collections are within a 62 mile radius - Do any of them need a DCPC ?

I am assuming recovery drivers as this is their main job do need a DCPC.

Hi I’m in the breakdown industry with class 1 license.

Yes we need CPC to drive a recovery vehicle as it is for “hire and reward”
