Daytrips /24 hour trips

can daytrips or 24 hours trips on the channel like in the old tax free times be a topic again
as staying on the ships or combined with a bustravel

I don’t know about cross channel day trips.

I know DFDS do a one or two day mini-cruise from North Shields to IJmuiden. You get a few hours in Amsterdam on the one day, or about a day and a half with a night in Amsterdam on the two day. Bus transfers are included.
P&O from Hull do much the same thing with their sailings to Rotterdam (Rotterdam or Amsterdam) and Zeebrugge (Brugge).

DFDS do one from Harwich to Hamburg fairly regularly as a coach trip. Last time I went with my ex wife 'twas about 70 quid per person. Grub supplied on boat and about 6 hours in Hamburg shopping and that

Brittany Ferries go from Portsmouth to Bilbao or Santander in Northern Spain.
You can stay on the ship as a foot passenger with a few hours to explore before coming back. They have whale watching lectures when in the Bay of Biscay which gets rough.
Cinemas on board and swimming pools.
