hi pat i do remember that day it was on a farm out in the sticks it was a family concern selling up and i think our main objective was to perloin there permits esp. the italien ones as i remember they only did british steele to france. We did go on to malcolm harrisons there was one 141 already there and we had to wait a couple of hours for the second one to come from carlisle. I never painted them as we were busy at the time and then never got round to it’ that arm reg one that TIR Tone posted was a beast and a half it could excelerate up lances hill with 20 ton behind it awesome motor.Heres one for you tone tip crynant re load fertilizer for petersfield memories eh.

Regards Jimski
Hi Jim I keep lookin for more pics even if only slightley relevant great model of C789BPO perhaps you ought to have ago at an FH in our colours that would be good after all they been around for nearly 20 years now how time goes by i remember goin to the factory in Sweden curtessy of volvo went to the test track and had a go in an FH12 waggon and drag loaded to 60 tonnes with timber logs awsome especially when we were goin round the test circut coming to a roundabout and the chap said dont use the brakes at all just throttle off and that engine brake came in just reminded me of the old ■■■■■■■ with jake brake superb. There must be more pics out there its just finding the people who got them.
Hi phil nice pic of BHH i dont think that has been on here before only ARM which was the sistership.Have you still got her i’de buy her back for the right money. regds buzzer
Hi Buzzer I was thinking the same thing the other day I might well have a go at one of your latest Volvos with a fridge, would be a break from doing 70’s and 80’s stuff, but won’t be just yet, got a long list of ones to do, just finishing an Iveco of R&A Freight, then a couple of F89’s to do.
I think some where back I read that Gary Burton won a trip to a Swedish factory and had a ball driving some of the latest gear
Regards Jimski
Hi Jim That would be good if you put that on your list of projects to do sure to get Horry goin.By the way i got offered a second trip to Sweden but turned it down cos i didn’t like some of the company that was also invited you have to watch yourself over there my god its expensive i think thats why old Scattercash never went his wallet would have incinerated over there

Evening Jim. I know we just had Christmas, but to put on the ‘wish list’ of models I would like to see, apart from the pending R&A Iveco. I think a Vincent-Cottell Frogtrotter, a Mackness Merc and maybe a Cherrett F7!! All you need to do then is nip down B&Q for a piece of 20ft x 20ft plywood, soak it in diesel for a week, line mark it out and you will have a model of Lorraines. Many a Saturday and Sunday morning spent down there, Happy memories!
