Here,s a rare one to start the New Year, coutesy of Horrie.

Dunno if it,s a monday morning hangover or what.

What do yer reckon ?

Is that a “Jannerite Services” trailer mappo??

Is that who you were running to Split for??

Yes bullit. but if i say anymore, i,ll have to shred you.

Fair enough mate, if you put it like that!!!

Just one more quick question before you get your shredder out :open_mouth: :open_mouth: …did you ever get to run down to Metkovic…a few hours south of Split, head down towards Dubrovnik then hang a left around Ploce??

UN / UNHCR supplies etc

I’ve only ever met one Davies driver, he was called John and he was a bit scary.

I never did personally bullit, my heyday on Davies was in the earlier years
when two tone blue doing traction work for STS on tilts and in the early
fridge days pulling for Chingford Fruit Packers then Solstor before Davies had their own fridges,
The Splits that i did were via the tourist route from Ancona to Split, off the
ferry in Split round the town and into the Military port to unload.
I know that a lot of the lads used to go overland when the job started and
went to different locations.
I,ll try and find out for you bullit and let you know although one of the lads
should be able to fill you in anyway.

Did he sound like an 0 - 1 er, (no offence to Londoners ) that liked the
sound of his own voice Harry ?

Yes, that’s about right although I do recall he said he was of Welsh descent. He seemed rather anxious to find a fight.

John Eaton never worked for Buzzer did he?

Hi Gazza,
yeh he did mate, just before i left, me and John drove the first of
the Dafs for Buzzer.
