why did you all leave davis■■?Hi again Dreva,
I left Davies about ten years ago due to a change in my domestic
circumstances, and i guess that 23 years at international work was enough.
It was a bloody good job then, guv, nor and workmates alike.
There was a good variety of work including a lot of three legged work, ie UK to Spain,or Portugal, then re-load for Italy or Greece or visa-versa, depending on the different fruit seasons.
To be honest, like most of the lads i miss it like hell but i aint getting any younger and i now enjoy my weekends at home especially after a week on bloody containers.
Regards Tony.
PS Dont mention ChipionaReader & Flipper
Nice to see you pair on ,ere. Dont go telling tales now
WARNING THIS NEXT PIC MAY OFFEND
It was,nt always tilts & then fridges on Davies, some of us older ones had to work for a living.
We did a few trips for Skillbeech taking containers on flat trailers
to Savona in Italy ,( i think they were then shipped to Libya ) then re-loaded washing machines at Philcos nr. Bergamo
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNEDFrom left to right
Paul Nichols, Michel ( frenchSTS subby ) Me, Nigel Smith ( zebedee ) & Dave Morgan. In the background is a Skillbeech Daf driven by Robin Bartlett, who took the pic

Tone, yea I remembered Dave M’ driving but just didn,t realise he was in it with you way back then mate, didn,t know that many of us were in the dolly knot brigade
Reader, Joe or anyone for that matter, anyone know where 2 likely ex kingsley lads are now? Namely Dave Green (or Greenaway, never sure ) & or Ian Beavis an IoW man as i recall (corkhead isn’t it?). Heard Ian was running a bookshop some years ago but it may just have been that weeks press release from rumour control.
Keep polishing the dash lads, red lights a twinkling
WELL JUST TO LET YOU KNOW IT MIGHT END IN TEARS FOR KWOZZY BUT NOT ME. ( MRS. KWOZZY). ANY ONE KNOW THE STORY OF KWOZZY WAKING UP WITH SOME SPANISH WOMAN IN HIS TRUCK? HE DOESN’T REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED■■? ANYONE HAVE ANYMORE GOOD STORIES ON HIM?
Now this could cost you dearly Kwoz! What price silence?
FLIPPER YOU CAN TELL ME. KWOZ DOESN’T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY FOR YOUR SILENCE.
Hi lads just got back 2am from a short trip to France so sorry to hear about George Rayner he drove for me for a couple of spells way back both UK and Europe was always neat and tidy. He had to extracted from the small bridge near our yard once skidded on black ice with a heavy Roba trailer on!
Last time I saw him was at a motorhome show in Malvern 2005 had a cowboy hat and boots on he was not that well then and was parked in the disabled pitches.
They were affectionately called ‘George and Mildred’ whilst on for us!
Sincere condolences to Mary and family
Anyone know when and where the funeral is please?
Regards Pat

Very brave of you to come on here.
I seem to remember the the Spanish woman in Kwozzys truck and her loud
screams when she saw him in daylight
