Hi again Dreva,
I left Davies about ten years ago due to a change in my domestic
circumstances, and i guess that 23 years at international work was enough.
It was a bloody good job then, guv, nor and workmates alike.
There was a good variety of work including a lot of three legged work, ie UK to Spain,or Portugal, then re-load for Italy or Greece or visa-versa, depending on the different fruit seasons.
To be honest, like most of the lads i miss it like hell but i aint getting any younger and i now enjoy my weekends at home especially after a week on bloody containers.
Regards Tony.
PS Dont mention Chipiona
Reader & Flipper

It was,nt always tilts & then fridges on Davies, some of us older ones had to work for a living.
We did a few trips for Skillbeech taking containers on flat trailers
to Savona in Italy ,( i think they were then shipped to Libya ) then re-loaded washing machines at Philcos nr. Bergamo
