Well if they here my Disco coming in the field lookout, took “Woody” the lab for a run this afternoon and they heard me and they came running so put a bag of nuts on the ground so we could get back out of the field, Buzzer

Hi all we have had plenty of the wet stuff lately and aint heard from Wrighty for a bit and think he has had more than enough rain in his patch, think he wanted to make some hay but not sure if that is going to be a goer now and its getting late in the season, hard going for those trying to harvest corn as well and getting the straw baled and carted in, Buzzer
Thats a tidy motor Buzzer. Is it for lime spreading ■■

Dean think your right there, when I was at home as a nipper my old man had lime spread as we had poor soil, I had a mate who’s dad did that from the quarry on Pepperbox hill with an old 6 wheeled GMC which had a petrol engine in which he later converted with a Perkins straight 6 motor, Buzzer
Morning all…Been busy of late what with me allotment n all lol & in between my little walks when on a 24 off…… found some pics of a little jolly I went on up Scotland way that JD must of overlooked lol
Mechanised country life, the downfall of the horse & cart, them folk in the south had it so easy with engines taking the milk to the dairy, not like us poor people North of Oxfordshire, we toiled on with the horses, bullocks and donkeys… and our Past Your Eyes Milk was days later to the shelves…
Well it’s all go up ere spent the last few day getting the mule gimmers ready for sale tomorrow, fingers crossed we have a reasonable trade but as you know you can never tell.
In between sheep we managed to get some nice Sept hay so that is cropping finished for us, just the machinery to wash off now and oil up for winter.
I’ve spent the last three weeks as Alice’s carer, she was leading a show heifer around the yard when it set off at high speed with Alice in tow, unfortunately she didn’t let go and the resulting fall caused a broken shoulder and a broken arm, It has to be said she is not the best patient but we are getting there slowly.
Fortunately I was able to take time off work to look after her but now it’s back to work tomorrow, off up scotch with machinery so it will be nice to get back behind the wheel.
Hey up Wrighty, sorry to hear about Alice and I bin there me sen, felt sorry for a 6mo calf out in the pooring rain which I thought was quiet but made the mistake of wrapping the halter rope round my wrist for grip, it took off in four hoof drive and pulled me over and dragged me 30 yards before I got free, covered in mud and crap and very hurt pride but no breaks, wont be going there anytime soon,
Glad you got your bit of hay and my has it been hot, too hot for me thats for sure, nature has its way and we have to all work with it and take our chance when it comes, rest is what counts for Alice so hope for a speedy recovery, cheers Buzzer.
