Mr Buzzer, not my best picture but was trying to get out of the way and grab my phone when stationary of course. My title ‘big Scania in little Stalbridge’ spotted today. I think it was no.77 but not certain apart from the GEL bit of course.
“snapper” Morrison says he has a new app but ithink he has taken up painting as he has so much spare time on his hands, Buzzer.
Hey Andy its Kev off Brits, good pic of us on the boat mate, take it I won’t see you till 2016,so av a good Xmas and all the best mate.
Evenin’ All.
That won’t ring a bell with our younger contributors . Good old Sargeant Dixon . Saturday nights, in black and white. Not Blue and White. ( did you see what I did there ? )
Here in County Cork , Storm Eva is starting to take effect , it’s on it’s way over to you…
Anyway, when the storms come in the Internet often goes out. So just in case I lose it. ( some will say I lost it a long time ago … )
A very Happy Christmas to Farmer John , Gill and the boys.
Plus all the Davies pilots past and present.
Except Andrew Morrison who just makes me sick with the constant pics of his holidays in a luxury high powered camper.
Take care all and keep it shiny side up.
All the best.
Baldrick.
Evening all,
Just like to wish everyone on here a merry Christmas and a prosperous new year, especially for us farmer types Buzzer.
Well Baldrick storm Eva is approaching us fast so we’ll be ready for more flooding, the only consolation is that the land can’t get any wetter.
Looking forward to more of “Snappers” photos in the new year, and maybe one or two of some cattle.
All the best
Wrighty.
I’m ready Wrighty…
But joking apart. I know ■■■■■■■ and district has been hit very hard and likely to suffer again in the next few days…
Look forward to the farming pics.
Balders are you signed up with the coast guard or RNLI, you kept that quiet, just the sort of kit old Wrighty will need if it keeps on raining. Aint it typical when I went out to do the cattle and horses this morning it was heaving down and I got a tad wet, soon as you step inside the sun comes out, but more heading our way tomorrow, Buzzer.
Woke up early this morning in great expectations of opening all my prezzies and than saw the new’s, gutted or what, Buzzer.
Always proud of this truck, it was kept to basics and not over dressed and I think it looks much better for that. It oozes presence and we were told that where ever it went home or over the water, it worked for its keep along with the much more modern trucks it ran alongside. It did take a little more looking after than its modern stable mates but had already had one life on the road before we rejuvenated her, Cheers Buzzer.
It certainly was a cracker JD. I remember one trip in Spain with Tony the Tart … He was in front heading towards Bailen . Had her lit and smoking. Pre iPhone times and no camera so, sadly only have the pic in my minds eye…
Congratulations to Roger Limburn on completing twenty continuous years of service driving for Davies International Transport (I was a young man when I took him on) affectionately known as WuWa which stands for wind up, walk away but that was more in his early years and now has quietened somewhat. This is quite some achievement in this day and age and he must have covered a huge amount of miles in this time, he is by far our longest serving driver and we hope he remains with us for some time to come.
Davies International is a traditional family run business now run by the second generation and we all congratulate him on this milestone, Buzzer, Jill , James & Steven.
Evening Buzzer,
Well its been a busy month up ere int Dales, 9 calves this month, but hopefully its a bit quieter in January.
Parked up near Pwllheli tonight 5am tip in the morning, so no sauce for me tonight, well maybe an odd can. Baldrick will you stop sending that bloody rain over here, it’s hard work trying to feed sheep in a bog!
Hope you all have a great 2016.
Cheers Wrighty.
Not such a good day for us but was some time ago now, recovered from Italy by Eddie Huntley and Brian Paling with my F12 and Duff’s 5th wheel jib lift. They did bring it back the wrong way round as they lifted the front not the back and tie the steering, they said they had wonderful power steering that way round, Buzzer.
PS, Rich’s pic.
Hi All
John I could do with that now for spares or repair it.
Cheers
Rich
