May I tread upon this hallowed turf?
Buzzer, Wrighty, Vets…now there is a cost…
My old lad, (he is 23, a Thoroughbred, Irish Draught Cross), and has enjoyed " the life of Riley", eversince he came off a lorry from a very good yard in Ulster, (meaning he has not been ridden for 17 years), but he is my, very, disabled daughters constant companion, and my daily work out as well!
Well he went lame back in September, …rest…bar shoes on the front…vet…X ray`s…blood tests …“.Cushings Disease” at last a diagnosis…picked up the first batch of tablets yesterday…£100 …and they were in a little pink packet!!!..gift wrapped!
But he is worth it, more than any money in the world…just hope that we can get on top of it, its a B… when you love an animal.
Andrew, I really enjoy your pictures, boy do they show a contrast from when I was travelling about in my little Fodens! But that quay side at Birkenhead really is the bleakest place in the world, (they sometimes bring the Steam Packet from the Isle of Man in there), but thinking about it, there a`int anywhere more depressing than the dockside at Belfast. I remember a very wet Sunday spent with Ronnie Picardo, with his Jet Powered Dragster,( built to look like my T600 Ant Eater Kenworth), behind his Plaxton Motorhome and some other lads with “Show Trucks”, coming back from the truck show at Ballymena.
When we loaded onto Harold Montgomerys Norse Lagan, a lad jumped out of a Unifi Volvo, parked next to my T600, and said, "Jeez, d
ats great sileage I can smell"…I used to park the T600 alongside my sileage pit, and the liquor used to leach out a little bit…lovely smell though!!
Thanks for your pictures…
Cheerio for now
Saviem (John) your more than welcome on this thread and agree with you as there are a lot of fella’s on TNUK who drove in Europe back a while and love (snappers) pictures of what its like today, Cheers Buzzer.

FM DBP if u only 71 u cud do hol r/leef trip Buzzer.
Buzzer ,thanks for the offer that would be my dream, however in 2002 after a serious motorway accident nothing to do with me I was hit from the rear and 6 months after I had a T.I.A did not know it at the time, no symptom’s ,just one time the overhead motorway signs sort of bleared for a second ,thought it was my glasses, so going on my 3 day break went to the opticans to moan about the glasses within 2 hours that was me banned from driving ,the optcian sent me to my doctor, my lience taken away ,Swansea notified that day
, I never set foot in BOWKERS YARD EVER AGAIN, I HAD NURMERIOUS HOSPITIAL TESTS, THE WALKING BOARD THING like going over a sand dune in flip flops, proper private medical , still SWANSEA SAID NO.
“too much of a risk”. car licence never taken away but a truck to much to chance, a B OWKERS driver had a brain hemmorge ,operated on could not talk propyly but Swansea gave him his back after 1 year that was fine by me good luck to him I hope he is still; ok.
Which goes to say was it the stress of the accident not shown ,or years before of giving it some, as a meat fridge man .and all that went with it but I would not have changed it from 1967 to 2002. so I would like to have helped out, funny I used to use a second man, and there was no one there…lol dbp
Shame about that DBP sometimes life aint fare, Buzzer.
Nice picture ,that is the only gripe I have so not to bad .i enjoy every day.
Trip to the sea side with the team to Lee on the Solent today, was a tad breezy but a hot cup of tea warmed us up for the return leg, Buzzer.

Not a stupid question this is the second carriage of this model I have had but the other one had a trailer to carry 4 extra people but it is dead handy to attach the winch rope too when loading in my truck, also its the first thing that hits the wall when you park it in the barn so saves damage to paintwork.Buzzer.

Better not let wee jock have a go at reversing you will need more than a towbar for protection lol
I think some of you lads on here may remember Steve Bryant from Compton s also Ralph Davies please take a look at the thread I have put on in his name. Thanks Cliff.
Took delivery of 20 ton of fodder beet today came in a 8 wheeled Renault, tight to get in but a couple of shunts and it was in, Buzzer
Buzzer:
Munching on pulped fodder beet, they really like that.
Good looking fleet there Buzzer, less trouble than the wheeled variety and more enjoyment I presume?
Nowt better than watching contented cattle eating, TB tested on Tuesday so the vet is coming back tomorrow to check for fails, fingers crossed they all pass. Don’t know what your weathers like Buzzer but it’s (zb)ing down up here, has been all November and doesn’t look like changing anytime soon.
