The readymix driver may be Bulgarian but I can assure you the concrete won’t be, that quality is just not seen here (in Bulgaria) Buzzer. Hope you get the cladding on thr sides before the Christmas Trucknet bash.

Concrete panels being made as we type fixed to the upright steels, Buzzer.

200 Pages and still here. Got to be the best haulage outfit still doing Euro in this country. Well done Horry, Brilliant reading, and Andrew- keep us old boys up to date. Buzzer,You started a motoring history. Not to interested in your shed - but keep us informed. Becuase we want you to succeed - sod the Eastern Europeans. Jim.
Well said
Great pictures as always Andrew and always take a keen interest in where you and the other drivers go around the globe.
Trucks look great two years on, however…may I suggest Horry starts getting your wheels refurbished■■?
“I don’t miss doing it” and “im not jealous, im not jealous, im not jealous…” and repeat
Probably about the same time then Mappo. I first drove abroad in 1981 and carried on throughout the 80s and 90
s until 1999, then had a change of career.
If only the saying “where’s there’s muck there’s brass” was true as there was a lot being chucked about today, Buzzer.

Mappo would have been in his element there Buzzer. He told me that when he was with you he was often in the effluent. Only hearsay you understand. Regards Charlie.
Back to trucks and here is Dave Coombes servicing my 110 Scania in TIP’s yard of West Quay Road, He had a Commer cob van and came from Salisbury for those who don’t remember and worked for Scania dealers Unit Commecials before going out on his own. In the background you can see one of Star Car Transporters bionic bubbles and after them came F7’s, also I think if you look hard you can see a Ford D series right at the back which they ran in the early days, Buzzer.
It’s ironically coincidental that both you and the “other” Davies International (there is one, trust me) started out with black cabs and red chassis trim!

Actually Gazzer that cab on mine was very dark blue but no matter, once went to see Ralph in his office which was at his house way back then and also met Steve was it that was his office waller, very hands on man always had the first trip in any new motor and a lot of blokes met him but never knew it, Buzzer.
The scene at “Tracy Island” today with a few motors in, fridge service going on and trailer washing ready for the next European excursion, took Trevor in a fruit cake which he will surely share with the others I think not, Buzzer.
All looking ship shape there JD.
I don’t think I’ve mentioned this before , but when I was in much sunnier climes and involved in the complete BS that is Superyachts…
The company that I was working for took over a big premises on a brand new industrial estate near Antibes.
As " International Logistics Director " , a title that still amuses me to this day , part of my brief was to get the keys from the agent and oversee the move in…
One of the features of the place was an automatic lift up garage door to the lower car park and storage.
I immediately named it Tracy Island and would hum the theme tune every time it opened.
It’s still known as that to this day. Funny how these things stick.
Also , as you may recall , " Shirley " had the Thunderbirds theme on CD and would play it as we moved off in convoy…
Also sometimes blast it out of the outside speaker in the grille whilst stopped at a Pelican crossing.
Always provoked an interesting reaction…
Balders as you have brought up the subject of “Shirley” he always was a bit of a joker especially when he used to get his knob out in public, never saw it myself but according to others it weren’t a lot to shout about it just embarrassed the work mates he was with at the time especially on the “luuvv boat” Sealink out of Southampton, Buzzer.
