Dash cams

After one serious close call with a woman in a BMW trying to force me into a wall (BMW 118 K6 KEM be careful if you see it, I was going from Retford to Doncaster, driver is obviously mentally unstable) and another close call with an Insignia pulling out last minute, I decided the time has come to get one.

What do you guys use how much was it how good is it and where did you buy it from? Also what 3 way adapter will I need to run satnav, camera and phone charger from a cig lighter?

Have a look on youtube there is a fella on their that reviews all the best ones on the market, just type in Techmoan reviews and you should find it.
As for your adaptor just buy a decent three way socket that will take what you need thats all I do and it is fine, I use a Roadhawk HD camera with a Garmin sat nav plugged in and never had any problems.

Thanks mate.

I’ve got a transcend drivepro200. Fantastic bit of kit. If you want to see some sample footage let me know. Cost around £80/£90 and will run off 12/24v, usual stuff turns on when it gets power and off when it loses it, big red button to lock a file but built in g sensor so if you have an accident it auto saves the file

i Know this thread is old but for future reference if anybody else is interested.

I got a G1w monkom Dashcam, i paid about £37 off amazon for it but it came witha 32gig sd card. for its price i cant fault it.

here is a youtube link of me driving in Stoke just testing it out. ( click the cog and put the quality to max as youtube shrinks it )

Appologies if links to other sites are not allowed, if that is the case then i will delete it.

That is very clear…even through YouTube. I’d rather use a good make of SD card (if it’s an unbranded one) incase is gets corrupted. But even so it’s crystal clear.
