DAMAGED TRUCKS

Where is VOSA when they could have a " Field Day " ?
Maybe not a damaged truck ,- more like a skip with a roof.

This ramshackle tractor and trailer had already travelled 20 miles from the Sedbergh farm to Crooklands Auction,
situated at the M 6/A 65 junction. No,…he hadnt been on the M 6 Motorway , thank God . I caught up behind a long line of (very) slow-moving traffic 1/2 a mile before the Auction. This was the reason for the queue. One of the wheels had already come adrift , and the (loaded with cattle !!!! ) trailer was dog-legged behind the ancient farm tractor. I was driving towards the Auction , so I followed the unstable trailer. Just as the farmer turned into the Auction entrance ,........a SECOND wheel ( from the other side ) parted company from the axle !! After struggling to reverse to a dock to unload the cattle , the farmer then used the wash bay to clean-out the knackered trailer . :unamused: :unamused: Well,........the waters FREE at the Auction.

I wonder what VOSA would have done if this were not a farmer`s vehicle ■■

A close-up of the unroadworthy cattle trailer .

I don`t know if the farmer towed the trailer back to his farm to avoid it being stolen. :unamused:

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

" Two wheels on my trailer…" :arrow_right: :arrow_right: :unamused:

Even the travelling fraternity wouldn`t nick this semi-mobile skip.

Cheers, cattle wagon man

MAN xxl 540 parked up near Veurne on the N8…
It’s sat there for a month already…

I’m guessing there’s damage to be found in the connection between the truck and the trailer somewhere

was driving back from the first swim of the year when I saw this poznan-registered daf had lost it’s trailer. probably going on the ferry to finland, the port is just around the corner.

sorry for the quality of the picture, have been meaning to buy a new phone but the current one just won’t die on me

Indeed it was. I think the bridge won the fight.

Definetly looks like it! What was he thinking taking that under there? I duck in the works Transit!

W & J Riding Seddon Atkinson 4-11 Series 4x2 tractor unit Reg No F340 SHG came to the end of it’s working life in 1995 after it left the road on the A59 just east of West Marten and hit a tree.
More details in the Accidents Happen section on the W & J Riding website.

My mate took this one out for the day while his truck was being serviced & ended up jack-knifing It a couple of hours later…

The boss was not too pleased with him, but at least he asked about his health before asking about the truck…

Rolled over on the A3 london 1997 . Rebuilt but never quite the same.

Out of interest, what would happen to the driver after he had a bridge? A stern talking to? Worse?

Don’t think he’s still there. Warehouse gossip is he’d been on flat-beds and through there all the time.
If you do see him, ask him his home town. :open_mouth:

The top one is Tuffnells at Lee Mill, Plymouth.

The second one is a Royal Mail truck which hit a stationary police car on the M5 ‘Devon Dip’. Nobody hurt.

The last picture of the fuel tanker is that it got struck by another truck that was rolling over. Ilminster roundabout.

The others I don’t know anything about.

Cheers
