Must have been driving through Huddersfield then! It’s got just about the worst roads in the country. They lost a medium sized car in a pot hole only a couple of weeks ago - smoothed the road out nicely mind!

Jeeezzzzzzz there’s some bad ones isn’t there.
We ran 3 x Daf 2800’s through the 80’s (great reliable trucks by the way) but one was jinxed, now when i hear someone say that i normally say what a load of c$@p but i have to say this one was without a doubt.
At the hands of 2 x very experienced drivers as quick as it was repaired it was in a smash again something that didn’t happen to these drivers in other Daf’s, Volvo’s & a White.
This was after the last one…didn’t bother even trying to repair
We jacked cab up and used it for spares for other 2
The first issue was it came from faulty hubs that was a problem with a certain batch of them there was quite a few that suffered similar fates including one poor bugger that burnt to death in his cab at the bottom of Mucklows Hill Black Country
There was a class law suit coming together and our solicitor lost the paperwork LEN if your a member here no doubt you’ll never forget running away down that hill in High Wycoombe after knocking / smashing several cars out of the way and going straight over roundabout and through a Fire Station

To be fair I think most trucks would have done something similar, that towing eye is designed to tow the vehicle while broken down and I’d imagine unladen. They would have been better with a spec frame but still what they were doing is idiotic.
This semi - trailer was parked close to Junction 37 of the M 6 one day when
I was driving past. I think the year was around 1982 or 1983.
By the colours of the cab , maybe the Leyland was owned by Laings .
Did Laings employ foreign drivers back in those years ?
Maybe the driver was taking his missus shopping , and entered the multi - story carpark ?
Cheers , cattle wagon man.
A close - up of the other side shows that the front bumper is undamaged !
Note the rope tied around the door handle to keep the door closed .
Cheers, cattle wagon man.
The weather conditions have caused so many pile ups lately I guess -
Here’s a couple from Germany last week !
Terrible to see such damage and dangerous conditions everywhere, with guys just trying to do their normal jobs.
That yellow & black one could been coal board?
