Hi guys, info needed please, what is the revs on a daf 510 /460 at cruising speed (56 mph). 12 speed auto or the new 16 speed traxon? Thank you one and all.
My mates 950 rpm ,mine 1200, different axle ratios,he uses less fuel, but I leave him standing at the lights
Both 460 12 speed autos
thanks for the reply gbtransp, who gets the better mpg?
460 12speed auto. 315/70/22,5
12,500rpm. Speedo says 90k. Satellite says 87 to 88.
Varied work so weekly mpg between 7 and 11…!
Overall 9ish. That’s 0.75 better than the ten year old 480 manual it replaces.

At 40 metric tonnes ,my mate 26 liter me at 29 liter per 100 km, dont ask me in MPG
thanks for your reply gbtransp. You are getting 9.7 miles per gallon, your friend is getting 10.8 mpg so he is using 0.7 of a gallon less to cover the same distance.

I rememeber when I was a boy used to motorbikes and seeing truck rev counters in 10s of rpms rather than single figures assumed they revved to 25000rpm
