Hi my daf gear box just went bang and the truck wont move. Awaiting recovery! Anyone have a rough idea of what the costs are to get back on the road…? Thanks in advance…
Crawl underneath passenger side of the gearbox bell housing rubber bung approx 6x3 inches, remove said bung and visually check the release bearing, by far the most common failure point.
Thx Trickydick. Got it checked and gearbox completely smashed including the casing… In the process of getting a recon built, shocking price but have to get back on the road…
